Luxt are a five piece band from northern California that play a style that I have never heard before. They play a self-proclaimed “cyber voodoo rock”. I would have to also put metal in the mix. This band is fronted by a female singer that reminds me of Madonna but with an attitude. This review will be hard for they go from a Madonna sound to a RAMMSTEIN sound to a Puddle of Mudd rock sound. They have a great sound and it keeps your attention but it goes in many directions all in one song. This is good radio rock with a feminine feel to it but can rock when it wants to. They have been openers for bands such as GODSMACK, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, RAMMSTEIN, PUDDLE OF MUDD, SALIVA, PAPPA ROACH, AND ALIEN ANT FARM. There sound is a hybrid sound of the aggressive edge of today's mainstream acts as well as dose from the electronic sound. Good disc but I just couldn't get into it but most of my female friends liked it. I prefer a rougher sound with the hard edge but it is a very creative sound and for that I must give it a 7.5 out of 10.
