GUTTER SIRENS „Memory Analysis”

GUTTER SIRENS „Memory Analysis” - okładka
Music: European Melodic Power Metal with progresive feeling

Cool songs: Chameleon, Appearances, Figure In The Fog, Forgotten Song. But actually all are very good.

Once upon a time, in the land called Poland, where Death Metal and Gothic have ruled with no mercy and where melodic Metal could not exist, there has appeared a small resistance. Five guys for whom Metal was something more than just maximum carnage, started their crusade. They have recorded an album called “Memory Analysis” and named themselves as Gutter Sirens. The name sounds familiar. Just think about Savatage's songs! But, like Doman (the lead vocalist and bassist) sings: “appearances can deceive”. Sirens are influenced by the European Power Metal such as Stratovarius (vocals, keyboards) and Labyrinth (song structures). Of course, you can find a bit of Savatage and prog Metal.

If you play somebody this CD, you won't believe that these guys are from Poland. Especially vocals are on very high level. Clear, high, with a melodic feel. Reminds me Kotipelto, but give Doman time and I'm sure he'll find his own style.

The songs are quite complicated and long. Their structures have a bit in common with progressive metal. I must admit that the musicianship is very high and everything is running as well as good-oiled machine.

So. If you like Strat, Labyrinth and wish to heard ambitious and interesting Power Metal, check them!!!
