Italian ADMIRON has existed from 1999 year. The band came into being from band ANGELS OF DARKNESS. They recorded 3 albums. However “When Reality Wakes Up” is penultimate album of them. This material waited for review unfortunately long time. “When Reality Wakes Up” is digipack nicely released, which tempted me from the beginning. However the queue is the queue…

From the beginning during of the listening I turned my attention for very dirty sound of the guitars, which gave a specificality for the music and even somewhat heaviness of Death Metal. Though the music of team is the most approximate to the sort of Thrash Metal with the light industrial-technical breath and even with breath of Metalcore.

The works are heavy and brutal, sometimes are crushing with the complex rhythmics and with expression of multicoloured vocals – the growls, the screams, the ominous recitations and even the clean singing. The compositions are multi-thematic and they fluently cross among the various phrases, altering the tone and the intensity as well as the climate – which is dark, sometimes industrial-cold, psychedelic or melodious and melancholic (particularly in the balladic accents).

Firstly I heard similarity to SLAYER or to Polish QUO VADIS (especially in these more melodic moments of Thrash Metal) or to the breakneck riffs in style of VOIVOD. However with time of duration of the album – the music of ADMIRON appeared different, more complex, more modern. And the electronic samples amplified the futuristic tone. But the elements of ethnic music also appeared there (like the hits of ethnic drums as well as the motives of clean guitar). However this is not the end of the creative possibilities of band – the varied solos and the progressive accents completed for the whole.

What is the newest album of ADMIRON “K2” if “When Reality Wakes Up” made on me such impression?
