Wow! is probably the first thing I said to myself when I heard the new release from Fleshcrawl. From the first track to the last, they brutalized me senses with unrelenting Death Metal. Even though they hail from Germany their sound is pure Sweden. I have always been a fan of the Swedish sound, so there's no sound complaint here. Fleshcrawl have used this sound along time and have perfected it in my eyes.
The vocals are catchy deep guttural spurts of blood splattering tones. The vocalist has molded some of the lyrics into the song in away that will have the listener smiling with acceptance.
The guitar sound like mentioned before is of the Swedish sound. Heavy and brutal churning out some really cool riffs that would make any meat grinder smoke with acceptance. A solo here and there, which show their ability to work the lower frets as well as the upper frets. They show that they do possess melody also along with the brutality.
The bass lays down some deep low end to the punishing tracks. No fills here, just some solid rhythms for the guitars to mold their heavy riffs around.
Everything is backed by some awesome drum work. A blast beat here and there, but not to overwhelming. There is however a lot of double bass, which in no mean am I complaining about. Overall there is alot of cool drumming throughout every track.
I would have to say that this is probably my favorite release from Fleshcrawl. I couldn't find any defects. I don't think the mix and production could be anymore perfect that what it already is.
I think other than the music; the artwork on the cover is simply awesome. It is something that all Death Metal fans will have to see to believe. What a stellar release along with the great artwork. What more could you ask for.
