DELIGHT „Eternity”

DELIGHT „Eternity” - okładka

This 9-tracker starts with a rock-fueled nu-metal riff in the vein of Papa Roach then followed by a powerful Life of Agony-like chorus… damn this is good stuff! The chick sings the chorus and it's really enjoyable as on the rest of the album. Every now and then she sings like Tori Amos or even Enya… she's not bitchin´ but singing. Delight win a lot by having Paula (that's her name) as a member of the crew.

This Polish band has created a great and diverse album. The only thing that is consistent throughout the album is the vocals that tie it all together. Every song has a style of it's own and many different parts create the entity. The music is overall epic but still commercial and melodic. These guys consider their music gothic but I wouldn't label it that way- at least not on this album. It's a lot of metal here. The riffs and arrangements are similar to bands such as those mentioned above and: Fear Factory, Samael & Depeche Mode. Even some old speed-metal riffs appear here and there! The last song is in Polish but doesn't ruin the whole thing. This band blends different styles together and has created something worthwhile!

note: 9 out of 10
