This Canadian Grindcore material recorded on the album “Origins” come from 2008-2010. Previously, it was presented at concerts many times. But only now it comes in the form of an album.

As you can see, the album’s artwork is stylish, when it comes to Grindcore. The dead, decaying animals along with such a toxic band’s name and the album’s title say a lot. But it’s rather symbolism, as “Origins” is the band’s history of who they are and where they come from. And the album as a whole was a statement of youth being dissatisfied with the existing conditions of reality and channeling their experience into what it is today.

This album, like most Grindcore releases, is not a long one. But who could endure such a noise longer, which at first glance might seem very chaotic? And it is not.

So, the compositions are as a rule and mostly very fast and very aggressive, sometimes with simple Punk Rock structures with typical, simple melodies. Other times they are very mathematically and precisely arranged. In addition, Metal elements also appear. It’s such a very mad Crossover.

The vocals are stylish too. Hysterical screams and growls of various sounds. Also typical for Grindcore are the “dialogues” of the two aggressive singers.

Although the clamourish licks dominate. At times, calmer phrases emerge, even with clean guitars. But however, these are only minimal elements, or rather impurities of “depleted uranium”. The last, bonus piece is perhaps the most diverse. It mixes aggression with a melancholic melody and additionally clean vocals appear.

Honestly, I personally prefer the type of Grindcore that is closer to Death Metal than Crust Punk. But it’s probably a matter of whether someone has “punk” or “metal” roots.
