Chile’s CRIME set release date for Shadow Kingdom debut – fully streaming now

Shadow Kingdom Records sets March 17th as the international release date for Crime’s debut EP, First Crime, on cassette tape. Crime are a duo hailing from Santiago, Chile. Grounded in all the classics, they explode with a classic early heavy metal sound that’s indebted as equally to rock’n’roll like Rose Tattoo and Motörhead as they are by ’80s punk. Across the three songs comprising their First Crime, Crime exude both grit and charm, energy and finesse, youthful exuberance and wizened erudition. Verily, it’s like a long-lost transmission from the mid ’80s, from the corners of the earth where pure heavy metal was a revolutionary act – and yet, it’s been thawed out in the present. Fittingly, Crime’s lyrics are mainly inspired by the risks in the city when night falls, with the intention of returning some mystery, rawness, and danger to heavy metal.

“This demo/EP of three tracks is our first attempt to achieve all of these ideas,” state the band. “We will soon start working on our first LP, to be titled Second Crime, with the same lineup, which will follow the same lines musically and lyrically.” In the meantime, get caught listening to First Crime! And right now, it can be streamed in its entirety at Shadow Kingdom’s Bandcamp here. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
