The sunny Italia again founds for us the Heavy Power Metal band with the large quantity of melody in the music. The band TWILIGHT GATE release Ep with 7 works (!)… The group came into being in Bari, in 2008 year and Gaetano Rossiello is the founder the band and the guitarist and the composer.
The disc is unlocked by the emotional and intimate song – “Scent of Twilight” together with the ominous sounds of a storm and a rain. This is as the intro for the next work “Fate” (I think the song is the best from disc). The song shows for us the quick guitars and the splendid melodics in good style of Power Metal.
The ballad also appeared in this type of music – “Starlight Memories”. I like such songs with woman next to my body. The disc is closed by cover of RAINBOW “Catch the Rainbow” – the arrangement of the song is pretty interesting and curious – the old song like the world but still recurs with eternal nostalgia.
The Italians know how to play this sort of Metal. The large quantity of solo guitars joint with the piano and the melody show for us the vision of really interesting young band. Though, I think the singing of Stefano Fiore sometimes is in the background somewhere. But this does not change the fact that band from Bari has potential and strength for the appearing in Metal world. If you like e.g. HELLOWEEN, STRATOVARIUS, FIREWIND or EDGUY then the Italian TWILIGHT GATE will make you pleasure.
I had not mention about the matter but I will be bad… The cover-art… I suspect that my 3 y.o. daughter would paint this better. But the every has an own taste… and a view for an art.
