By these all years the line-up of the band underwent the multiple changes
At that time the band played many concerts and they supported many stars, like OBITUARY, PUNGENT STENCH, CREMATORY or VADER
And therefore despite so small quantity of released albums – HYPERBOREA has considerable experience in performing of deadly sort of Metal.
Hearing the sound of instruments, the vocalism and the general climate reigning in “Cryogenic Somnia” that I reminded myself about bands of Death Metal from breakthrough 80/90 years of XX century. HYPERBOREA presents concrete Death Metal with strong influences of Thrash Metal… Here the heavy, muffled guitars play sharply riffs with the strong hits of the drums (sometimes in style of Punk Rock), often interlacing with melodious or the sharp guitar solos and the accents, on the front with the growling screams. The tracks keep the various average-quick rhythms with temporary decelerations which are very heavy and climatic. The works characterize considerable changeability and they contain the many motifs Listening the whole – my associating hit to DEATH The only restrictions what I felt that they touch the sound of the vocal which is too archaic (in present times).
HYPERBOREA belong to this group of Death Metal bands which among aggressive expressions plait many special melodies. HYPERBOREA is the crushing machine, which pushed me in retrospective journey to times when Death Metal came into being.
