KORPIKLAANI: South AmericanMexican Tour Postponed

Finnish folk metallers KORPIKLAANI have issued the following update:

“Sadly, KORPIKLAANI need to postpone their tour to South America due to
complications with work permits which resulted in cancelled flights for the band.

“KORPIKLAANI did everything possible to make this happen and apologize to all their fans for this, which was not the fault of the band. We promise to make up for this with new dates to be scheduled soon and want to thank all of our fans for your patience. We also want to thank Ariel from Argentina and Carlos from Mexico for helping us try to solve this situation, which was unfortunately not possible.”

Nov. 05 – Oveja Negra Pub – Talca, Chile
Nov. 06 – La Havana Club – Concepcion, Chile
Nov. 07 – Estadio Lintz – Puerto Montt, Chile
Nov. 08 – Industria Cultural – Santiago, Chile
Nov. 12 – Estadio Flores – Buenos Aires, Argentina
Nov. 13 – Hammer Bar – Campinas, Brazil
Nov. 14 – Espaço Barro Preto – Belo Horizonte, Brazil
Nov. 15 – Clash Club – Sao Paulo, Brazil

KORPIKLAANI will embark on a North American headlining tour in January. Support on the trek will come from SWASHBUCKLE, TÝR and WHITE WIZZARD.

“Karkelo” (English translation: “Pleasure” or “Party”), the sixth album from KORPIKLAANI, was released on June 26 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Petrax studio in Hollola, Finland.

KORPIKLAANI's previous CD, “Korven Kuningas”, came out on March 21, 2008. The CD entered the album chart in the band's home country at position No. 16.
