DUFF MCKAGAN's LOADED Completes “Sick”

There are few individuals around today that exemplify the term “idol” or “legend,” but one of Seattle’s own stands tall amongst this chosen minority. This person is Duff McKagan and anybody would be hard pressed to dispute that he is the epitome of a hard rock icon. In 2009, with his latest, appropriately titled project, DUFF MCKAGAN’s LOADED, he gets a chance to add another chapter to his already storied career further showing his songwriting prowess and versatility assuming the role of vocalist/guitarist. This is an all out assault of pure rock and punk infused fury that pulls no punches.

DUFF MCKAGAN’s LOADED have completed work on their massively anticipated new full-length album, Sick, which was recorded by Martin Feveyear (Presidents of the USA, Kings of Leon) and is set for an April release. A new webisode documenting the band’s recent UK tour can be viewed at the link below. See the meaning behind the term “Road Gay,” travel with the band for a photo shoot at the infamous LocNess and witness how insane the Brits are for Duff and company.

Duff has also announced the following NAMM signings.
Saturday, Jan. 17th
12PM to 1:00PM – Rotosound Booth
1:15PM to 2:15PM – Gallien Krueger Booth
2:30PM to 3:30PM – Jim Dunlop Booth

McKagan further states: “Well now… a new year is here and with it will come the release of LOADED’s first, full-length Century Media release, Sick, this spring. We spent the last part of '08 finishing up the record as well as playing a few gigs around our hometown of Seattle. If anyone is interested, Geoff, Jeff, Mike and I will be at the NAMM show in Anaheim on Jan. 17th. I will be at the GK, Fender, RotoSound, and Dunlop booths. Jeff will be at GK, Fender, and Dunlop. Geoff will be found hangin at DW, Sabian, Vic Firth or poolside. Mike will be recruiting members at Disneyland for his now infamous 'Squires Army.' We look forward to seeing you all soon.”

DUFF MCKAGAN’s LOADED was formed in 1999 and has morphed several times, releasing two albums: 1999's Live Episode and 2001's Dark Days. The current line-up features drummer Geoff Reading (New American Shame, Green Apple Quickstep), bassist Jeff Rouse and guitarist Mike Squires (both formerly of Alien Crime Syndicate). This tight-knit group of rock n’ roll brothers brings their high-energy to every stage, from Seattle's Sunset Tavern to Tokyo's NK Hall.
