Contempt come from Denmark and this is their debut album from Diamond recs. , a label from Denmark too. The band is into Swedish death metal with major influences coming from Dark Tranquility and The Haunted. The production is very good but unfortunately their music is nothing special. I had heard many interesting things about them since their demo era but in my opinion Contempt need to find a personal sound. There is no point in trying to be heard like the greatest bands of the style. The booklet is very good but it ends with some words that are really inappropriate in our times…”let there be war”. I expect them to be really improved in their next album.
