Italians regardless of the type of music has always played melodic, DREAMSHADE is not a deviation from this rule. On the contrary, the musicians of DREAMSHADE combine all the elements known for melodic death metal, and symphonic black metal from the trade of CATAMENIA or whether our polish DARZAMAT. Nice, but still brutal with a familliar cliche.

To describe the content of the album, the focus must be on two important elements. Namely, on the above-mentioned melody, with a large dose of harmony, and on the kind of space which is an integral part of sounds created by the Italians. Indeed, if anyone wants or not, this kind of music must contain certain elements that was patented long ago, just to name a few of the authors of these, IN FLAMES, DARK TRANQUILITY or CHILDREN OF BODOM. Some played less violently, others more melancholiac, and the last with a very melodic heavy metal jams. However, all these bands gave the groundwork for a whole new species which are also an influence for DREAMSHADE. Although it is difficult to actually think of something fresh and new in the melodic / metal symphony DREAMSHADE is not a band that would be the acquired of this.
To the edge of reality, is a material recorded with the passion and dedication, this is material does not contain even a bit of or baloney nor poser crap.. It is by no means the music which in their case flows straight from their hearts.

I like nice transition from acute death metal impact to a more climate play. I think that playing with a mood in the case of DREAMSHADE is what they captured almost perfectly. Once again, however, it will not be anything new, but what about this, the same bread from a bakery one can taste well during your all life. Bread baked by DREAMSHADE at least should give them in their country an assured way to the desired success. A can and abroad, this play never quite, so even if they only put these keys to the background, and the synths will perform only this (background) role I would be fully satisfied. Automatically then will raise the guitar volume and in a result their compositions would have more power. Although the material defends itself, I wish all young bands so good first releases.

And I would be forgotten. Too bad that on the To the edge of reality is so little amount of clean vocals. Iko could sing more than just yell and growl. This guy has a good voice and could take advantage of this. Maybe on the debut album we will have an opportunity tohear more real clean voice singing than only the brutal expression. So, if you're a fan of IN FLAMES, DARK TRANQUILITY or CATAMENIA, DREAMSHADE should meet all your needs.
