ENTOMBED issued another great album. They have their characteristic sound and the riffs that cant be mistaken for any other band. The band members promised that the album would be much more complicated and diversified in comparison with the previous records and it looks that they kept the promise.
The album starts with a title track which shows that ENTOMBED guys are not joking and that they are really pissed off. L.G. Petrov growls with a sincere passion, Alex Hellid serves great riffs and the drummer is flawless in his playing. Some of the tracks are fast all way long, but most of them are not so simple and this is the greatest advantage of the album. Each one has its unique style and therefore the album is not so boring. The band is still able to surprise with some unusual ideas like in The Dead, The Dying, And The Dying To Be Dead. The song starts with a very fast riff, but when it comes to the chorus everything slows down and Petrov sings this unusual title. Thy Kingdom Koma, on the other hand, stirs the attention with its rocknroll type of the main riff which perfectly suits Petrovs vocals. In The Blood is a total contradiction of the previous one. The track has a very groovy, marching riff which makes it stand out from the others.
Although ENTOMBED is described as a death metal band, they try hard not to sound too simple. The songs dont have plain and easy constructions, which makes the album far more interesting. The album doesnt sound like a one long track, but it consists of ten separate numbers and none of them is boring and one-dimensional.
