The band was formed in 2007 in Bangkok. In the years 2007-2012 the band operated as MELODIUS, then changed the name to the present one. Before that, they released three full albums in the style of progressive power metal. In addition to the Thai surnames, the lineup also includes Japanese and Spanish / Latin American surnames.

The cover of “Elysium” has been very carefully and meticulously made, it presents a mix of fantasy and Star Wars climates.

The music on the latest work of the group from Bangkok is the intertwining styles of power metal, progressive metal and death metal, with additions of ambient, djent, rock. The album is dominated by an unusual concentration of sounds per unit time, intensity, intricate melodic tracks, and twists. I strongly associate this way of playing with THE MARS VOLTA (although of course Americans are a different genre of music).

The technical skill of the instrumentalists is incredible, especially the guitarists, but also the drummer. Clean, wheezing and growling vocals were used. Lots of fragments on the album are death metal and melodic death metal, both in a SENTENCED manner. The playing of the keyboardist often resembles the style of Łosowski from KOMBI (Thais probably never heard this band, just like many reading this review. Others may be shocked.). The last track of “Various Seasons” is kept in the predominance of rock style, again reminiscent of the early rock incarnation of KOMBI. Really Thai people boldly mix the styles on their album!

However, complicated and compacted metal, full of commitment and passion prevails. Decorated with interesting solos of guitarists and keyboardists. The band’s message requires concentration from the listener. The music is trembling, boiling, foaming, boiling over. It is a challenge to play such figures at a concert, in terms of performance and sound. The music, despite its violence, does not contain any pathology, the souls of the members of MELODIUS DEITE are pure.

The team from Thailand deserves their artistic level for a global career, but whether it will happen, time will tell.
