From the very metal Italy comes MALVENTO, a hybrid of thrash and black metal, founded in 1996 in the areas of Naples. The band has not got an official website, although all of the merchandise can be done via Vomitium Niger Productions, Propaganda or Evil Distribution. ‘Regressus Ad Uterum’ is their seventh album, which is the best of compilation.

And this record is nothing more than just another silent but still visible (especially in Italy) voice, on the black metal scene. Silent, because the sound quality leaves much to be desired – first of all, go the guitars, which do not sound like… guitars. Secondly, there are the drums, which are too loud and somehow push the guitars into the background. Not to mention the growl type ‘B’, with a hoarse character – which is one of the most popular voices, chosen by black metal performers. The content is thus quite poor, the songs sound exactly the same, there is no variation, no change in pace or motifs, it is just a one-tune hammering, without any reasonable idea, how to attract someone with this crap.

The overall mark is insufficient as the music, content and performance are much lower than the border of poor quality reaches. There is nothing interesting in this album. Not worth a broken dime.
