Cool songs: Grace, Venom?

The year 1994 will probably be written in the annals as a very special year: NINE was brought to life by a few metal maniacs. In their history, they have got four full-length albums and some EPs. This one is their fifth long play.

And it is an extremely mouth… tearing album. From the first sounds it creates the impression, that the lead vocalist feels real pain while the process of ‘singing’. If so, why on earth did he help to record this CD? Did he, and his friends thought, that the listeners will feel some empathy and donate them some money? One piece of advice: record something good and then try to sell it. Something very different from this production, which is totally dominated by that hideous quasi-growl. The classical heavy and fleshy riff lack some originality and innovation, this is the kingdom of monotony. Some of the songs (‘The Blade’) sound like a heavier version of pop-rock. All in all, if someone is stubborn enough, could listen to this album couple of times. But unfortunately this will not change the impression, though the songs sound very much alike. ‘Grace’ which aspires to be the best composition from this album is devastated by that funny way of growling. No more comments.

Such albums require a lot of patience from the listeners. This music is like a relationship with others – sometimes people need some spontaneity. If not provided, finally you will end up all alone.
