At the moment there happens much in the hard/melodic rock area. The releases go hand in hand. And if PINK CREAM 69 bassist and top producer Dennis Ward is not busy enough, he tries to be a leadvocalist – for the first time. He could already show his vocal skills live on tour with his main band PINK CREAM 69 as a background singer. And he does a great job!

And there we come to the subject: First of all, fans of the Baden (South German) formation should lend an ear, because finally there´s their bassist on the vocals! But before we start, I have to say: It´s just not PINK CREAM 69…

KHYMERA – that sounds promising… Besides Dennis Ward, also Daniele Liverani (keyboards, bass guitar and production) works with that name. His name you know at the latest because of the acclaimed rock opera “Genius” that was born in the year 2004. Also in the band: Dario Ciccioni (GENIUS, on the drums) and guitarist Tommy Ermolli.

The band was founded as a studio project, but KHYMERA now has a complete line-up. And so we can ring the bell for the second turn: „A new promise“!

The „new promise“ offers good rock songs like for example „Alone“ or also „You can´t take me“. Straight drive we have with „Let it burn“ and „The damage is done“, as well as with “Fields of fire”.

A little settled are „All that I have“ and „Tomorrow never comes“, as well as “All is gone”.

Totally seen, this CD is halfway quiet, halfway really heavy. A good rock album, although it takes some time to show itself and its qualitities. But there are not big innovations. Anyway, lend an ear or two…
