I meet music of Finland's NOME again. This already is their third release. The music is well-kept in similar heavy/gothic metal climate like “Macrocosmos”. But the material contains four tracks this time. “Wake-up-eyes” is first of them. The song ab ovo introduces listener in gothic gentle murkily-melancholy melodious climate. The tune is based at the dead-beat and the rhythmical parties of guitars, supported by peck of melodious solos as well as rich in accents and dynamic passages of work of drums. In front of the music motives appears sounding enough low the vocalist's melodious singing. Next tune is “Malice” – it brings in more predacity and even a bit madness (some vocal motives), but for a moment, because then it passages in the calm melodious themes and again it climb in more aggressive parties. “Katana Mind” is third composition, which one with guitar passages in background introduces us in gothic regions gently… the regions are full of gentle darkness and melancholy. The musical phrases are very melodious still and are embedded in hard metal's subject area. The Mikko's melodious singing sounds on front of the musical phrases sounds obviously. The last one piece is “The Hide”, which one on the beginning brings the larger quantity of heavy metal and the melodious guitar dynamics as well as aggression or even the bit of thrash metal and vocal fury. These alternate themselves with the gentle gothic parties. The whole of material is very coherent and richly arranged. Every composition consists with many musical motives which create repeated sequences. Generally NOME oscillates around the gentle darkness, melancholy, considerable quantity of melodies with suitably dose of aggression. On their official website you can find their music in mp3.
