Polish concert promoter Odyssey and several media outlets are reporting that METALLICA will play a gig in Chorzów, Poland on May 31. This show has yet to be confirmed by the official METALLICA web site.

In other news, the official web site for the upcoming METALLICA documentary, entitled “Some Kind Of Monster”, can be seen at SomeKindOfMonster.com. The site has yet to be officially launched but you can sign up on their mailing list to be notified when it does. The documentary is expected to make its premiere on Wednesday, January 21 as one of the entries in the “American Spectrum” category of the 2004 Sundance Film Festival.

Also on the METALLICA front, Stuff.co.nz is reporting that the band arrived in Auckland, New Zealand Wednesday ahead of their first Big Day Out concert at Ericsson Stadium Friday (Jan. 16).

The headline act at the 10th Big Day Out have proved a massive drawcard with the musical event on the verge of selling out all 45,000 tickets for only the second time in its history.
