REBEL SOULS inks deal with Art Gate Records

The Art Gates Records team is proud to announce Rebel Souls as the new artist to join its international roster of talents. Rebel Souls is a death metal project originally hailing from Thuringia, Germany, that was founded in 2000 by then 17-year old Thomas Plewnia and Stefan Hielscher.

Their current sound is defined as urbane and mature while maintaining the core principles of Death metal: relentless and brutal, yet straightforward with high recognition value.

In words of the band:
“We are extremely excited to announce that we will be joining forces with Art Gates Records. Being the home and cradle of quality extreme metal such as the mighty Noctem, Killus or Cvinger we are more than confident that they will take this journey to new heights and the next level.”

The outfit aims to produce fast and raw death metal in the vein of Vader, Vomitory or Krisiun. Between 2000 and 2003 the band was active in its local underground, a couple of demos were home-recorded and a handful of local gigs were played, sharing the stage with underground acts such as Asmodeus (AT), Trimonium, Mortal Intention (now Ad-hoC) or Fraktur.

The academic and professional careers of both band members and later change of residence to Spain for one of them forced the band to put all activities on hold. All activities are being reignited now with full force!

Rebel Souls were able to bring current Vader and Divine Chaos drummer James Stewart on board for the drum sessions of said record, which were recorded at Wave Nation Recording

Studios in Ronda, Spain (Chaos Before Gea, among others). The new album of the band is expected to be released after this summer through Art Gates Records worldwide.
