VARATHRON: 2015’s concerts caputred in photo collection (video)

Greek black metal pioneers, VARATHRON, have released a collection of photos taken during the band’s 2015 live performances. The collection is available for viewing in a form of a video, accompanied by a live version of the song “Descent Of A Prophetic Vision”.

VARATHRON’s albums are considered to be the cornerstones of the Hellenic black metal scene, alongside the releases of Necromantia and Rotting Christ, with whom the group shared members as well as similar fascination towards early style. Since their inception back in 1988, the band’s trademark are mid-paced riffs that have a classic, old-school feel strengthened by a progressive view, as well as epic atmospheres that only few can match.

The song “Descent Of A Prophetic Vision” comes from VARATHRON’s latest EP, “The Confessional Of The Black Penitents”, released on October 23rd (2015) via Agonia Records. It’s available in a limited eko-pack, gatefold black MLP, limited gatefold colour MLP (with poster), digital formats, t-shirt and hsw.

The band’s last full-length album, “Untrodden Corridors Of Hades”, had its premiere in November 2014, after a five year break.
