DEAD SHAPE FIGURE Begins Recording New Album

Finnish modern thrash/death-influenced metal band DEAD SHAPE FIGURE has entered D-Studio in Nurmijärvi, Finland to begin recording its second album, “The Disease Of St. Vitus”, for a spring 2010 release via Dynamic Arts Records.

Commented the group, “We have already recorded drum tracks for five songs.

“The recording process has gone smooth and we have three days left for the drums. Should be no problem to finish those tracks without a hurry… After that, we will have a one-week break and then we come back to D-Studio and record the guitars and the bass.

“Vocals will be done with Mikko Herranen (RUST, MISERY INC., VELCRA) in a secret lair with a help of a mysterious producer. After that, Mr. Herranen will mix the album and then the mastering process and after that we should have a print-ready album to go-go.”

DEAD SHAPE FIGURE's debut album, “The Grand Karoshi”, was released in 2008 via Season Of Mist. The CD's lyrical content was recently translated by Kallio into Finnish as a book of poetry, entitled “Loppusäkeet”. The song “Blithering Icon” is available for streaming using the audio player below.
