One year of work and then there is a nice intro that introduces the latest CD of ROYAL HUNT. The exciting access to the first track “Break your chains”.

Melodic hard rock with a symphonical accent. This is how you can define this new opus in well known tradition. In the beginning it is going to kick up your heels, totally classic with speed and melody. Vocalist John West effects already a real masterstroke with the first piece.

Partly the whole story is very much of synths („Memory lane“) that at the same time is an instrumental piece of music or also very heavy („Not my kind“, „Paper blood“). This song has additionally got a very special character: You are going to sing it everytime and everywhere J As well as instrumental („Twice around the world“) ROYAL HUNT create a plate of the extra categroy.
Partly reminding on Oliver Hartmann, the vocals are on „Never give up“.

More silent, but not less good ROYAL HUNT give us with „Season´s change“ a melodic best performance that is not only good for your ears, but it goes right into the heart as well.

Sometimes you can compare them with Stratovarius (synthesizers) or Pink Cream 69 (songwriting and vocals).
The originally Russian keyboard master Andre Andersen didn´t just use his fingers for the keys, but even a good mastering that is really a good work.
ROYAL (Andre Andersen) and HUNT (John West) assembles to a monument that stabilizes with Marcus Jidell (from Sweden) on guitars and Kenneth Olsen on drums as well as several guest musicians on that album called „Paper Blood“.

Seven studio albums, but ROYAL HUNT have never sounded as good as on „Paper Blood“. Very recommendable, the title song!
Generally you can say about that mixed group: An extremely variable and melodic hard rock album that is kept alive by the team work of the several elements, call them instruments. The voice of the American vocalist John West adds some points! One of the best symphonic-melodic albums that I have listened to for a long time! I am enthusiastic! J
