I consider myself to be open minded, but the front cover of this CD takes things a bit too far. I can take sick cover art to a certain degree, for example those which are carefully crafted, but this is just offensive and unnecessary.
The sad thing is that Waco Jesus doesn't even have the music to back up their image. This album sounds like early Dying Fetus, but without the song writing ability or production. The guitars create one big wall of sound with no clarity whatsoever. It is also difficult to tell one song from the rest as they all merge into one. The drumming is one dimensional (I'm no professional, but Mortician and Necrophagist get more variation out of a drum machine) and therefore doesn't give the songs any identity.
Even at twenty five minutes in length, this is too long as it becomes too boring too quickly. This album should have remained at the mastering stage as the world won't become any more depraved because of it. Now where did I put that Dagoba CD?
