NAPALM DEATH „Enemy Of The Music Business”

NAPALM DEATH „Enemy Of The Music Business” - okładka
Music: Grindcore
Duration: 50:00 minutes (14 songs)

Cool songs: Most of the songs on this album are cool, not all, but a lot of them

The kings of grind stopped the experimental shit!!! Inside The Torn Apart and Words From The Exit Wound were too slow and soft to be grindcore, but now the blastbeats are back!

Let me try to explain what grindcore (and since they nearly invited this style, Napalm Death) is about. Grindcore is also called Death Grind, because it stands very close to Death metal. But Grind is played lower, with short, repeating solo's, always fast, and a typical grindcore song has no intro, no realxing parts and no long guitar solo's. This does not mean it sounds boring and not varied, it's just, erw, well, grinding 🙂

Napalm Death is a bit a strange band, non commercial as hell, and doesn't change its style, sound a bit like Malevolent Creation, but in grindcore form. This album is one of their best efforts so far, faster and heavier than the previous two. It's like we go back in time to records like Scum, and Utopia Banished. I hope they'll keep it that way.

Very cool riffs on this one, vocals are (as used to) extremely aggressive, but if you spend some time on them, you'll get to know that the song texts are magnificant. Compared to the earlyer releases, this album's production is also a lot better. Especially the drums sound cool, like a rolling thunder on the background.

note: 8.5/10
