This band from Italy has considerable musical baggage. “Modus Operandi ” is the third album of Italians after “Nameless Crime” (released in 2003) and “Law and Persecution” (from 2006).

The almost hourlong playing gives us the diverse scale of musical styles. We have all here – from Rock throughout Progressive motives, Heavy Metal till the elements of Thrash Metal. The album unites so many different styles, that I seem this has not coherence, this is inconsistent and unfortunately this is too “boring” from the half of album. We do not know – Do we have to expose oneself for Progressive notes, Rock climates, or else for Thrash riffs?

The album also has positive points, like the skilful using of keyboards (not too often), but in suitable moments. But the vocal of Dario Guarino is the best large plus of the release as well as of the band. The vocal is calm, melodious, climatic, sedate. The singing sometimes reminds the voice of Fish from MARILLION (but the voice of Dario is more raised, Gothic).

Will Italians appear more on the Metal scene? I do not know. Maybe if they would concentrate themselves on smaller quantities of kind of music then probably they would have larger chances. I think personally, that album is good for the listening (but not very often).
