HYPOCRISY titles new album “A Taste of Extreme Divinity”

HYPOCRISY, the Swedish extreme metal band led by guitarist/vocalist Peter Tagtgren (also of PAIN), has set A Taste Of Extreme Divinity as the title of its new album, due on October 23, 2009 (Europe) and November 3, 2009 (North America).

Peter Tagtgren states:

“I'm at the end of the recording and mixing; a few songs left to sing on. The rest are done mixing-wise. It's just been too busy with touring and recording bands, and I didn't wanna burn myself out totally. We're happy [with] the result so far, it got everything a HYPOCRISY album should have in our own point of view.”

HYPOCRISY reissued its 2002 album Catch 22 under the title Catch 22 V2.0.08 in May 2008. Peter Tagtgren re-recorded the guitar parts, his vocals and remixed and remastered the LP for the new version of the album, which featured bonus material.

The band previously stated about its decision to re-release the CD, “We still think it is a great fucking album but it got slammed and misunderstood because of the vocal style and the drum sound and so on.”
