Metal Blade Signs DARKNESS DYNAMITE

Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the Worldwide signing of the hottest newcomer band to come from France these days, DARKNESS DYNAMITE!

DARKNESS DYNAMITE was formed in January 2007 and already recorded their first EP Through The Ashes Of The Wolves in June of the same year. This release overwhelmed both fans and critics, and DARKNESS DYNAMITE soon signed a distribution deal with Musicat to reach a broader audience. Combining a strong musical technique with a delicate sense of image, the band sells out the first pressing of the EP. In 2008 DARKNESS DYNAMITE decides to take things a step further and starts the composition of their first album. As the writing process unfolds, a few artistic feuds begin to rise between the band and their former singer, who is later asked to leave the band.

DARKNESS DYNAMITE welcomes in Junior Rodriguez on vocals! This new blood brings the extra creativity the band was starving for. Music starts flowing again, only even stronger, as clear lines are drawn and the artistic direction becomes more defined.

The Parisian quintet combines heavy guitars, massive grooves and an intuitive sense for great harmonies and melodies to turn them into fantastic Metal songs! DARKNESS DYNAMITE integrates all of the modern metal flavours but takes inspiration from 80s metal with references such as Metallica, Guns n' Roses, Pantera and Sepultura. Their new vocal signature opens them a brand new horizon: heavy metal, rock, power metal METAL!

The band comments on the record deal as follows: “It's a true honour for DARKNESS DYNAMITE to sign on the prestigious Metal Blade house. The Metal Blade legacy has such an important meaning to what is Metal today, that we didn't see any label able to develop DARKNESS DYNAMITE the way Metal Blade would do it! We've put all our guts and worked as hard as we could on our first album, and seeing Metal Blade will release it is just a dream come true! We want to thank the team that has worked around us since the beginning, and particularly our live sound engineer Arnault Burgues, our mixman engineer Remy from Ahddenteam, our tour manager Lolo and Florent Campana, our manager.”
