DIN BRAD signs with Auerbach Tonträger / Prophecy

DIN BRAD (English: “from the fir tree”) is a new musical project of Negru, drummer in Negura Bunget, and is dedicated to a direct exploration of Romanian musical, spiritual and landscape heritage. Thus, it is all about folklore, but in a modern, yet authentic and personal approach.

Negru specifies his thoughts behind DIN BRAD: “I feel I'm one from not that many people with a deeper understanding on what the local traditional culture is, or was… And there are some areas of those that I always felt connected with. Those are the parts I'd like to explore with DIN BRAD. It's about the shepherds communities and their practices and beliefs, about the traditional way of understanding the cosmos and the close surroundings, about the wisdom of the simple people…”
