SLIPKNOT won Grammy Award

SLIPKNOT can add another lofty adjective to their group description: the band won their (and Roadrunner 's) first GRAMMY AWARD Wednesday night! Nominated for the sixth consecutive year, SLIPKNOT took the 'Best Metal Performance' Grammy back home to Iowa, for the single “Before I Forget .” (http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/beforeiforget/)

SLIPKNOT recently wrapped up a whirlwind album cycle that saw them selling out arenas everywhere and shifting over 1.3 Million copies of their third album Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) in the U.S. alone. Last November, they released Slipknot 9.0: Live (http://www.slipknot1.com/) , a double live album that has sold over 350,000 to date.

Now comes some much-deserved rest, according to bassist Paul Grey: “We're gonna take some time and let everybody do what they wanna do. We'll probably get together towards the end of the year and start writing.”
