MERCENARY News

A music video of Firesoul with live footage recorded at the Dynamo Festival 2005 has been completed and is available for download here. This marks the first ever official Mercenary video production.

Who said metal musicians are no-brain alchoholics?

Mercenary recently participated in the national Danish Tv-Show 'Test the Nation', a show which tested the IQ of several demographic groups, among others musicians. While the winning group (famous people, believe it or not) had an average of 120, the average IQ of the band was actually 121,8, whereas the national average was 105.

In the program, a test also indicated that exposing easy-listeningt musicians to metal (Mercenary's 'reDestructDead') prior to taking the test made them stupider than listening to Mozart…jump to general conclusions at your own risk…

As part of the upcoming Nevermore Tour new tour shirts is available for pre-order through the merchandise section on Mercenary.dk. Shirts ordered now will be sent out after the tour ends in mid-october. Both tshirts and longsleeves are available.

Through out the fall Karmageddon Media (previously Hammerheart Records) will be re-releasing the entire Mercenary back catalogue. This features emastered versions of Everblack, First Breath and a compilation of the early demo releases (called 'Retrospective'). The remastered version of Everblack is set for an October release and will include the bonus track “Nothing's What it Seems” which was previously also included on the Everblack Digi Pack edition. More news as we get them…
