BLACK LABEL SOCIETY „The Blessed Hellride”

The time has come to receive another dose of abuse from Zakk Wylde and his BLACK LABEL SOCIETY so with that said lets get on with the review. This CD was given to me in the form of a promo with no artwork or anything. Not even a list as to who played on the disc other then Zakk and the Chicago chapter of the Black Label Society and special guest Ozzy Osbourne. The CD starts off very strong. The first four Trax will beat you into submission then slows a little to display Zakk's talent at a slower pace with the title track. Of course the CD is heave with some of the best metal guitar being played today. Zakk has been known for his over the top style for quite some time now but I do believe his writing Musically and lyrically has gotten much better. The sounds on this disc are rich and thick with his very own sound but layered better then in days gone by. The bass lines and drum sound enhance Zakks playing but at no time over play him. Zakk has taken and displayed his musical talents from the early days of PRIDE & GLORY and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY all in this one disc. I being a Huge fan have been looking forward to this disc for a while now and I am not disappointed in the least. I may be going out on a limb here but I will have to say that this is by far Zakk's best work to date. The writing in every way is flawless and to the point. Very few CD's receive this high of a rating but I would have to give this CD a 10 out of 10. All fans pledge your loyalty to the BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. The street date for this CD is 4/22/03
