German black metallers AGATHODAIMON

have set “Serpent's Embrace” as the title of their fourth album, tentatively due on June 21 through Nuclear Blast Records.

“The recordings still aren't over, but we'll have everything recorded and mixed until the end of March,” guitarist Sathonys said in a statement. “Afterwards we'll take care of the bonus CD, which will be used for the limited first edition of the album. It will most probably contain old demo tracks, rare or new versions of various songs, screensaver etc. Maybe even a video clip. Yes, we're currently talking about the possibility of doing a video clip! No detailed plans yet, but we'll keep you informed.

“Other good news: If all turns out well, we'll record an exclusive song which will be used for the upcoming soundtrack of 'Alone In The Dark'. A movie which is based on the famous computer game (similar to 'Resident Evil'). Christian Slater ('Interview With The Vampire' etc.) will be the main actor Edward Carnby!”

In other news, Sathonys will make an appearance at the 666-Festival on April 10 at Mautners in Vienna, Austria as a DJ. He will be “taking care of a nice black/death metal overdose at the biggest underground festival in Europe,” according to the press release. “It's quite likely that you'll get to hear a new AGATHODAIMON song there as well.”
