Yet another album from the Estonian thrashers of black pulp. As they begun their musical adventure with Scandinavian theme, of Viking journeys and battles, a few years ago something happened and they started writing songs inspired by the… alcohol. However, within two years, they managed to record two full-length albums, which is a big progress, as since 1996, they have recorded three of them.

What is audible from the beginning, is the change of sound – the instruments are more ferocious, the power therefore is more intensive, and some characteristic solos also appear. And those are the main features, which differ this album, from the group’s previous release. The album ‘Martyr of Wrath’ is an effect of the process called evolution – MUST MISSA do not use their previous ideas, they paraphrased them and served everything on a darker plate. The musicians take a turn into the direction of blacker style, which should work as a plus, but in fact brings more confusion to the whole. The guitars are rawer, the bass calmed down, but still rages on (Viking cannot stop showing off), and the drum fills are no longer the same, in every song. But again, the music is eaten by the demon of repetition, as the motifs are abused from the very beginning.

‘Martyr of Wrath’ is a better album than its older brother, showing, that the musicians drew some conclusions. Unfortunately, they did not work solid and therefore, yet another average album was created by their hands. Thrash maniacs, avoid this album, black fans… forgive them.
