The band was formed in 2001 by Denis, Rodrigo, Mauricio and Selvino, and they were supposed to play some covers of 70’s and 80’s bands like JUDAS PRIEST, MANOWAR or IRON MAIDEN. After a while, Selvino left the band and they were forced to look for another guitarist, meanwhile creating some of their own material. ‘Bang Your Heads’ was previously released as a demo containing three songs (2005). Recently, it was re-released, enriched with two bonus tracks and spread all over the world. Now the band are still promoting it, because Rui left the band and they are again left with one guitarist.

I have to admit, that this piece of heavy metal is one of the most monotonous album I have ever heard. Whereas the beginning is quite promising, the rest lays flat on the ground and looks like a corpse. Two or three classical riffs, which are hammered all over the time, are simply not enough, there is no way of finding a difference between the stanza and the chorus. It is mission impossible. The compositions only vary on the level of duration, and that is actually everything. No more further comments.

HEREGE released an album, which will be soon forgotten in the metal world. Such lack of compactness and ideas for music has very unpleasant consequences. Sooner or later they will be back, with some new material, but for now, let there be silence.
