Cool songs: Holy Inquisition
From the ashes of RAVEN OF FIRE was born REVENANT, a complete thrash metal band (ROF was playing power metal) influenced by CHILDREN OF BODOM, IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. The played music is a compromise between the musicians: each one gives something of his own and thanks to it, we have got ourselves a medley.
Evil Mind starts heavily and has got many shifts: from heavier and stronger to silent and calm sounds. But the problem with this album is its predictability and repetitiveness. The idea used in each song is repeated over and over again, the same riffs and solos are abused. Everything just loses its curiosity – there is nothing really exciting about this album.
This delicate thrash is an uninteresting piece of music. Of course there are some signs of hope, and the musicians should really concentrate on those. Only then they will be able to appear on the official scene.
