Dirty Rig starts their debut CD on Escapi Records with 'Suck It', a track obviously about… well, not surprising, Suck It, Drunk Again and Hot Porno Star are not for the faint of heart, they are sleazy and dirty gems of rock that could easily shock those who may be offended by the somewhat juvenile lyrics each song contains. And no, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, since rock 'n' roll right now could use a raunchy, crusty, Guns and Roses style, kick in the ass!
The band is cut from the same cloth as The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, and Guns 'n Roses! This what I would call
“Get in, Shut up and Hold on!” rock. It's dirty and sleazy, and the production is sounds great. Just listen to the
lyrics of 'Just A Star', 'Hot Porno Star' and 'If You See Kay'. This is Rock 'n' Roll the way it was meant to be played!
The legend of Dirty Rig began a in 2003 when Chas, Dave and Buckshot found singer Ed Sebastian in the most unlikely of places, New York City. Rock & Roll has been missing this brand of excitement since the early 80's and it's good to hear it once again!
Kory Clarke, former frontman of Warrior Soul leads this band but gone is the politically charged and thought-provoking lyrics that was once a trademark of Warrior Soul and in its place are songs that are just the kind that gets you in the mood for wet T shirt contests and poolside beer fests.
But although the subject matter is a little mindless in topic doesnt mean the music is not brilliant in sound, and Dirty Rigs performance is proof of just that. Nailing the swagger of Appetite era Guns N Roses and the passion of The Sex Pistols, the majority of Rock Did It is perfect for your next wild party or main street cruise.
Dirty Rig serves up their dangerous hard rock deliciously with their guitars, bass, drums, beer and attitude . Kerrang Magazine has said Dirty Rig's “Rock Did It” is The most thrilling CD that 2006 has produced so far 'Nuff said!
