WATCH THEM DIE News

Oakland-based purveyors of violence WATCH THEM DIE are currently in the midst of their massive U.S. assault with High On Fire and Goatwhore. The trek, which kicked off on March 30th and runs through May 6th, will also be the group’s first run since Pat Mello’s (bass) departure this month, who has since been replaced by George Rice (ex-High On Fire). The group’s stunning new offering, Bastard Son, is quickly catching the entire metal community’s attention with its destructive blend of old-school Bay Area thrash brutality and utterly savage lyrical intensity.

Pat Vigil (vocals) checks in with the following report: “Greetings and seems as if 2006 is off to a great start. We are currently spreading the word of Bastard Son with our longtime friends and brothers High On Fire and Goatwhore. We are also extremely honored to be on the road with these guys once again. In most ways, it is a massive family reunion. Yes, countless nights of sick fucking metal, blood shed and brotherhood. Now that is how you spell happiness. We are also really proud to have George Rice in the WTD family, and we are looking forward to seeing all of you on the road. Cheers.”

Bastard Son is a multi-layered exploration of anger, pain, loss and redemption. This sophomore offering, mixed by Tue Madsen (Heaven Shall Burn, Himsa, The Haunted), simply annihilates the competition with its undeniable intensity. A video for the album’s title track was shot with director Kevin Leonard (Diecast, Walls of Jericho). Be sure to catch it on now on Launch.com, Headbangers Ball, Metal Asylum and Music Choice or at the following location below.
