ATROCITY, BATTLELORE, ELIS, LEAVES´ EYES

YES! Finally not driving the wrong way to the Rockfabrik!  We arrived at the hall very early and waited inside the car and listened to some music. After a time we decided to walk around, but we just went back to the car, because it was very windy outside.

At 7 pm not many metalheads were standing in front of the hall. And not punctual, like we know that from the RoFa, the doors were opened at 7:25 pm. We all came to terms with the loss of our fingers and toes…

In front of the stage there was a looot of space for us and so we decided to stand in the front row (something new? ;-)) Elis from Switzerland/Lichtenstein were announced. I was very surprised to see that Battlelore from Finnland went on stage. With about 30 minutes of playing time the Finnish Tolkien fans impressed the audience with a mixed setlist of the debut Where the shadows lie… and the second album Sword´s Song:

 Fangorn
 The mark of the bear
 Buccaneer´s Inn
 War of wrath
 Ghan of the woods
 Journey to undying lands
 Sons of Riddermark

With Ghan of the woods a new song was played. I liked it very much! If the new album is like that song, it will be very evil…

The band also has new costumes. Furthermore Evemaster singer Tomi Mykkänen and www.battlelore.net webmaster Timo on bass had their tour debut with Battlelore! The two guys built a harmony with the rest of the band. You nearly didn´t think that Patrik and Miika were missing.

Unfortunately there were just a few Die Hard-Fans, who really banged their heads. But I belonged to those and already a few minutes after the concert I head neck pain of hell…

Pure gothic metal was played by Elis. This voice is making me a creep! I liked it much! I was very fascinated and could not trust my eyes and ears… But very fast it had an end.
I can´t tell you much about Leaves´ Eyes and Atrocity. I have to apologize for that! In that (long) point in time I was sitting around a table with Battlelore. BUT: Next time soon will come…
