I have this album since 1996 and nowadays I still think it's a gem in the extreme metal scene. In broad strokes, they blend death, black, gothic and melodic rock in this outfit and a lot of keyboards and effects all over the songs. But what makes special this album? well, despite all the influences i mencionated above, this is not a typical black-death metal oriented band with a touch of gothic elements, in fact, its not easy to catalogue this guys.This album its very intense and powerful, the riffs are similar in style to black metal, but they are so melodic and imaginative that make you think that is not black metal at all. Well, better said, it remind epic wars soundtracks. The use of blast beats remain in almost all songs (and what kind of use,check number 5 song, “i'm a daemond”). A curious thing about this album, it's the fact that there's always a kind of keyboard intro in all the songs, so it's kind of weird the first time you listen to it. To end this, i like this album so much that I have been tempted to buy it again, hehehe. Metal as it best!
