I had not received a demo from a Finnish band for many time. Now, Misery Inc. are here to remind me that this country has great bands! A promo with 5 tracks is what we have here and the first thing I noticed is the heavy personal sound of the band. You don't listen to them and say “ok, they sound just like…”. This is very important for every underground band. But if we want to describe their music somehow we can say they have influences from bands like Paradise Lost. Heavy riffs with a singer who has an aggressive tone on his vocals and a very stable rhythm section. The production is excellent and the labels should contact these guys to offer them a contract. If you like heavy metal then listen to Misery Inc. And finally, we all say support the underground but only a few do it. There are great bands here. Don't hesitate to discover them!
