A lot has been said about Mnemic. There are those who can't stand to go anywhere near them because of their crimes against music and there are those, like me, who think they are one of the best things to come along in recent years.
Yes, there will be comparisons to Fear Factory and maybe even to Meshuggah, but Mnemic aren't a mere clone band and that boils down to the fact that there isn't one crap song on this album.
The playing is as tight as it gets and the songs are helped by a massive production (just listen to those guitars). The songs vary in speed and are full of vicious melodies that you'll be humming for days. The fact that the album clocks in at over an hour is a great testament to the band. How many of today's groups can write an hours worth of material and not let it drop in quality somewhere along the line? Not many I bet.
It would be pointless to point out the best tracks as they all standout as future classics. The drummer deserves a mention as he holds it all together with a precision rarely heard these days.
Along with Raunchy, Mnemic are the future of metal and I can't wait for the next instalment.
