Blood thirsty demons are coming from Italy, and were born in 1997. “Let the war begin” is their second full length album, and as band is saying about them self, they are playing horror metal. But it’s not mean that we hear here some rich orchestrations, connected with sharp guitars, keyboards and solemn climate (which to be honest I was expect). It’s rather meaning some old school , coming from 80’s maybe even early 90’s, climate reminding Mercyful fate and Black Sabbath (for example track titled “I am the evil”). For me there’s almost nothing in this music that could be said it’s horror kind. I think it’s rather simple heavy metal mixed with some doom Sabbath riffs. You know, I have nothing against that type of music, but it was good twenty, maybe fifteen years ago, and these guys didn’t put anything new into it. Of course that shouldn’t stop anyone who is not expecting revolutions in style created by Black Sabbath. If this old simply music is still reason that your blood circulation is little faster, you definitely should give a try Blood thirsty demons. All in all, there’s a few really good riffs, drums are well constructed, and bass parts are really good, the same as solo parts. It’s produced, and sounds like it should. Everything is on right place. Everything except on thing, vocals. I don’t want to be unfair or cruel, but what is doing this man, is honestly annoying. Sorry buddy, but have you ever heard yourself? Almost all the time when I was trying go deeper into this music, something stops me fast, and that was those vocals. Very often vocals part lines have just nothing to do with rest of music, and it’s come out just like some screams of drunk man. And what is even worse, the vocalist uses extremely unfitting and annoying tone of voice. In conclusion, to music we say yes, to vocals (with small exceptions) we definitely say no.
