CLEAN drops “Halo” on September 1

May 21 – CELAN’s eagerly awaited debut album, Halo, will see a Sept. 1 US release via Exile On Mainstream Records. Featuring a who’s who of prominent experimental musicians including Unsane front man Chris Spencer, Einsturzende Neubauten/Redux’s keyboard player Ari Benjamin Meyers, flu.id’s Franz Xaver and Phil Roeder along with Oxbow guitarist Niko Wenner the quintet immediately sent tongues wagging and bloggers blogging when they posted a trio of tracks on their MySpace page (myspace.com/celanband) this winter.

“I’ve always wanted to play in another band that’s different than Unsane,” explains Spencer. “Something more musically developed that is also able to exploit the raw noise from my neighborhood. The whole collaboration turned out better than I could have hoped.”
