The Italian SACRADIS have existed since 1996, when Eligor and Argento (now an ex-member) decided to form their own band, playing extreme black metal, of satanic, antichrist and dark origin. After a while, the group released their first EP, titled ‘Sacradis Infernalis’ and slowed down a bit, so that in 2004 they recorded the first long play, ‘Darkness of Our Souls’.

A model black butchery – these are the most appropriate words to describe ‘Darkness of Our Souls’. This album is like ‘Speed’ motion picture, with Sandra Bullock – it rushes, rages on, like a rampaging bus, and when it slows a bit, there is only one thing left to do – countdown before an explosion of even more power and speed. The music is very fleshy, the melodic lines remind the good old DIMMU BORGIR, and the extra-strong bass line brings to mind CHILDREN OF BODOM. It is audible, that SACRADIS abundantly draw on their ideas, but also add something, which those two bigwigs do not have – an authentic and severe force, which bursts out of every composition enclosed in this disc. On the other hand, the tracks seem to sound very much alike, but what more can be expected from black metal – everyone knows, that this music is invulnerable to variety.

Summing it up, the record seems to be not bad, and will definitely find swarms of black metalheads, who will buy it. Let’s forget about the repetitions and some ‘influences’ [sic!]. May the force be with you!
