When I heard the new Finntroll was out I was very excited, for I really liked their previous album Jaktens Tid. I can imagine you have never heard of this band from Finland, let me tell you something about it:
Finntroll makes a very strange kind of metal, an almost impossible mix between folk and black metal. That may sound very experimental to you, but it really is cool; black metal with folkisch melodies…
But this is something else, no more black metal 🙁
I don't know shit about folk so I can't give this album a good quote, sorry for that. The album might be a good folk album, you can hear that, but for the average metalhead it's crap. Since this site reviews metal, and it is visited by very few folk-loving people, I advise you all: don't buy it! Maybe we have better luck on the next album.
BTW, if you do like folk, don't look at the Quote.
