The Italian music scene presents a band AUSTRALASIA and the album “Notturno”. The whole is a project belonging to the multi-instrumentalist Giano Spalluto… At the beginning I was focused at the cover-art of the digipack. An interesting picture is a reference to the presented album, which musically represents the night side of nature, its grandeur and mystery. “Notturno” is the second solo album of Giano Spalluto. The musician grew up with the music of Ennio Morricone, Extreme Metal and he is passionate about Shoegaze and Post Rock. As a result, he created a really interesting work.

The whole album is practically instrumental. We can hear female vocals on the track “Invisible”. Post Rock guitar playing combined with a sharp, climatic Shoegaze introduces a listener into a mysterious, dark and timeless world where he finds thoughts, reflections and reflections on human life.

The Recitations of mysterious dialogues sometimes add additional solemnity for songs. And keys in style of Ambient sometimes play a role for a long time and they have a significant impact on the climate.

It is the masterpiece. In such cases, I always wonder what is this man, who is the creator of such an interesting material? What he feels and why he has such a refined taste… Maybe that’s it, that the more something is incomprehensible to us, then more we are interested in, delighted and it pushes us for the extraction interesting images, feelings and thoughts from our imagination. I think that the more we are interested in something that at the same time it teaches us and develops. After this album, I feel that I want more from life, I need more this life… And the night becomes a “Lady” of coming day.
