EXSECRATUS Announces New Singer

Finnish metal band EXSECRATUS, which features in its ranks Jussi Raatikainen, the older brother of CHILDREN OF BODOM drummer Jaska, has announced the addition of singer Jenni “Luna” Saira to the group's ranks. EXSECRATUS has also parted ways with keyboardist Anna Räisänen “due personal difficulties between her and and the other members of the band.”

Two new songs from EXSECRATUS — “Seventh Day For The Serpent” and “Too Far Beyond” — can be heard in the YouTube clips below. According to the band, “Both [tracks] were dropped [from the group's forthcoming CD] 'cause they didn't fit the agressive style and sound of the album. So this December we'll hit the D studio once again to fill up the two spots with more agressive songs.”

EXSECRATUS released its debut album, “Tainted Dreams”, in Japan on January 23, 2008 through Spiritual Beast (via a licensing deal with Violent Journey Records). The Japanese pressing of the album contained new artwork and two bonus tracks: “For You” and “Death Brings Me Joy”.

“Tainted Dreams” was released in Finland on September 3, 2007 via Violent Journey Records. The CD featured a guest appearance by NORTHER frontman Petri Lindroos in the track Under the Winter Moon.
