Heavy riffs. This band's music all about great heavy riffs. Drover, the guitarist, is a great player. I wonder sometimes when I'm listening to his playing, “Man! His hands must be made of fire!”. I'm new to this band, although I'm not new to the Canadian metal scene.

Eidolon are Canadian band. Their music lays between the heavy metal and Progressive. My 2 favorite kinds of genres.

“The Parallel Otherworld” is their newest album for this year. I have to say that one of the feature that distinct this album, is the length of most of their songs. Just like most of any progressive/ heavy metal bands. Their songs are full of heavy riffs, strong screaming vocals with high notes. Yet! It's not boring! It shifts you with the mood and with the playing so well.

They were just lacking the touch of the keyboarding. On The Parallel Otherworld, Drover, also, played the keyboard – as far as I know – and he was great. I guess that's what they need in an album like this.

I guess this band will be my favorite after Kataklysm, Strapping Young Lads', and of course Into Eternity.
